Crossing Thresholds.
There are moments in life we cross a threshold and life is forever altered, we step through a place of no return.
We are changed alchemically by an experience that there is no way of going back from.
Our heart, mind, body and spirit has ripened, matured and landed in a place with deeper roots from becoming one with the unknown.
Our innate rites of passage as women offer us these evolutionary changes, the loss of our baby teeth, the welcoming of our blood, pregnancy and childbirth, the releasing of our blood through menopause.
Changes that alter the fabric of who we are.
That usher us from one life stage to the next, orientating us to our new role within life’s trajectory.
These transitions seek witnessing, honouring, and mirroring in community;
The loss of who we was, the grief, the agony of becoming, the unknown, the liminal, of not being who we once was but at the same time not quite knowing who we are becoming.
And the welcoming; the joy, the expansion, the celebration of this new evolved version of us, with gifts harvested from the depths of our journey into the underworld.
Gifts for our families & community.
Without community presence we can become disoriented, stuck, lost in transition, not quite there but not fully here.
Ceremony allows us to fully land.
To mark and track the journey we have traversed.
To be witnessed by our human and more than human kin.
To return.
To arrive.
To land in embodied knowing of the season we are now in.
What it asks of us.
What our deepest longings for this season are.
Who we have become.
And the gifts we have to share as our offering to life.
